Bear bells were designed to be worn when outdoors in the vicinity of bears...to warn them of your presence so they keep away. But there are other uses for them, they can be a great alternative to high visibility products, for people who don't see well, they can hear the wearer instead. Attach to your clothing when out walking, when visibility is poor, so even if you can't be seen, you can be heard. A great aid for when walking dogs, sometimes dogs who love to delve deep into long grasses and can't be spotted even with a light up collar, can still be located by sound. Or attach to your dog at Christmas so he can do his best reindeer impression! Perhaps if your cat is doing it's best to decimate the local wildlife, and regular cat bells aren't doing the job, then this one will. Please note though this bell although super lightweight, is pretty large, and a cat would be most cross if forced to wear it!
The bell has a velcro tab so it attaches easily to clothing or collars, and when you want it to NOT ring, you can quickly release it, or the strap has an in-built magnet that can be fastened to the bell, to quieten it significantly.
