The Lockheed Martin F-117 Nighthawk was the product of their special projects team, the "Skunkworks", and was the first operational flying platform to employ "stealth" technologies. This Luminox watch was designed when the pilots of the F-117 requested Luminox watches, as they were impressed by the brand's unbeatable visibility in any conditions, vital when flying the F-117.
This watch features a stainless steel case, in matte black to avoid flashes or reflections. The case has a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, ensuring the watch was not easily scratched working in a cramped cockpit, a screw down case back and crown, and is water resistant to 200 metres. Inside the case is a Swiss Quartz movement, with date function, displayed on a black dial with white numerals, and LLT gas tubes placed on the hands, markers and bezel to ensure the watch is always visible regardless of the conditions.
