What is Swell Aquarium Tonic Salt? Swell Aquarium Tonic Salt is a complex of minerals and trace elements for freshwater aquariums. It has multiple beneficial effects, including strengthening the immune system, strengthening the skeleton, providing vital trace elements and calcium and magnesium, reducing stress, and helping fish recover from diseases. It is particularly useful to add when fish are suffering from parasites, ulcers, or other open wounds as it helps reduce salt losses and aid their osmoregulation. How do you use this salt to treat wounds and parasites? Add 1-3 grams per litre of water directly to the aquarium, and after 24-36 hours, perform a partial water change of 15-20% using Swell Aquarium Dechlorinator and Swell Aquarium Biological Starter. If you have "soft" water fish in the aquarium (such as Discus or Neon Tetras), it is necessary to isolate the affected fish and place them in a separate clean container for at least 24-36 hours during treatment.
